The Middle Rhine Museum in Koblenz represents as a municipal art collection the cultural and artistic memory of the city of Koblenz from antiquity to the present.
Since 2013, the Mittelrhein Museum has been housed in the Forum Confluentes. As a municipal art collection, it preserves the cultural and artistic memory of the city of Koblenz – from antiquity to the present. The modern cultural building is home to the museum, as well as the tourist information center and the Koblenz city library.
The permanent exhibition of approximately 1900 m² at the Mittelrhein Museum focuses on the painting collection, as well as sculptures and decorative arts. In chronological order, the exhibition halls lead from medieval sculpture through the painting of the Middle Ages, Baroque, Classicism, and Romanticism to representatives of the Düsseldorf School, Classical Modernism, and contemporary positions.
