The wine-growing region Mittelrhein runs along the 120 kilometre stretch of the river Rhine between Bingen and Bonn known as the Rhine Gorge.
This area is one of the most picturesque parts of Germany.
The narrow Rhine Valley with its numerous steep cliffs forms a beautiful scenery, that is crowned by the production of top – quality wines in the steep slopes along the river banks.
The southern part of this unique cultural landscape between Bingen and Koblenz was granted the “UNESCO world culture heritage” status in 2002.
It is home to the legendary Loreley.
Impressive castles and ancient ruins are waiting to be discovered around every bend of the river gorge, giving name to many famous and delicious wines.
